Looking for a coordinator with experience in concrete and an eye for quality

Position Summary

Oil and Gas sector.

Responsibilities

The Concrete Foreman is required to perform duties including, but not limited to:/p>

• Read and interpret blueprints
• Constructing and installing formwork
• Ensure quality product for the client
• Perform other related duties as required
• Working without constant supervision
• Maintain schedules
• Coordinate crews on various work fronts
• Report to the Superintendent

Safety

• Ensure that site safety measures meet or exceed the parameters set out by the corporate Health and Safety manual, Workers’ Compensation Board or other safety authorities
• Promote a positive safety culture with a target for zero incidents
• Read and implement Supervision and Worker Responsibilities outlined in the PMCL Health and Safety Manual

Leadership

• Utilize the appropriate management skills to lead the team effectively in the day-to-day execution of the work
• Responsibly lead and mentor the team with integrity and demonstrate good work ethics
• Help resolve conflicts within the team with the support of the Superintendent

Qualifications & Experience

• Knowledge of civil concrete construction, reinforcing steel and formwork systems
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years previous Foreman experience
• CSTS, First Aid, H2S and any additional tickets would be an asset
• Previous organizational and planning skills would be an asset
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with others
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Consistent punctuality and reliability
